Bulgaria's right-wing Reformist Bloc has slammed the draft budget for 2014 as the most un-transparent since the beginning of the democratic transition.

The reformists believe that the draft budget envisions unachievable economic growth and tax revenues, reports Mediapool.bg. They also see a lack of commitment for reforms.

Another point of criticism is that the budget risks to disturb Bulgaria's financial discipline, by allowing room for higher fiscal reserves.

Bulgaria's Parliament approved at first reading the draft state budget for 2014 on November 14. It envisions a GDP growth of 1.8% and a state debt of BGN 18 B by the end of 2014.

The Reformist Bloc warns that the draft budget will provoke mistrust from investors and citizens.
