Police have detained suspects for the armed bank robbery that took place Wednesday in Bulgaria’s Kardzhali, according to media reports.
Two masked men broke into a local branch of UniCredit Bulbank shortly after 9 AM, pointing a gun at 2 of the bank clerks.
They took an unconfirmed sum of around BGN 20-30 K and quickly left the scene, news agencies said earlier on Wednesday.
District Prosecutor Svetlozar Lazarov has refused to specify the number of people that have been detained in relation to the incident, noting that no arrests have been made so far.
Police are still investigating the case, BGNES informs.
