Two men carried out an armed robbery in a local branch of UniCredit Bulbank in Bulgaria's Kardzhali, but nobody was injured.

The masked men broke in shortly after 9 AM on Wednesday morning, pointing a gun at 2 of the bank clerks, reports Standartnews. They took an unconfirmed sum of around BGN 20-30 K and quickly left the scene.

According to a press release from the bank, officials are yet to confirm the exact amount stolen, but it is most likely an insignificant sum.

The bank office confirms that there are no injuries, only fear among the clients and some of the staff.

Police have been called to the scene immediately. The roads exiting Kardzhali are currently blocked by police.
