For a third straight day, French police are searching for the man who opened fire in a newspaper office, and later at a bank in Paris.

In the attacks on Monday, a photographer of Liberation newspaper was seriously wounded. In the consequent shooting, at Societe Generale bank’s headquarters, nobody was injured.

On Tuesday, Le Parisien reported that the man had been captured, but the prosecution later denied this.

Investigators have so far been unable to identify the gunman, but a source close to the investigation said the police had “received several hundred calls” following an appeal for information from the public, reports France24.
