The Czech government will assist Bulgaria with EUR 1 M for dealing with the refugee situation.

The Czech Republic will provide the money as a sign of solidarity and support for the efforts of a fellow European state, guaranteeing the security of the continent’s outer border, reports Focus agency.

The two countries are currently negotiating the technical and legal aspects of the aid.

Czech Interior Minister Martin Pecina will announce the humanitarian aid during his visit to Sofia in December.

So far Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, and Slovenia have provided both material and financial support for Bulgaria.
