State servants can attend antigovernment protests outside work hours, said Tuesday Bulgarian Prime Minister, Plamen Oresharski, altering earlier statements.
He added that when administration employees rally during business hours, they sabotage the institutions.
On Friday last week, Oresharski declared the authorities were collecting "operative" data about who attended demonstrations against his Socialist-endorsed Cabinet.
On Tuesday, the PM was adamant he was not at all worried or nervous about an NGO notifying Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor about his threats to dismiss State servants attending anti-government rallies.
"I am not worried and if you wish, I can repeat it – I respect the protesters unless they are working in State institutions and are rallying during their work hours," said Oresharski.
Meanwhile, Lozanova was adamant her work was impeccable and the PM has not discussed with her a possible dismissal.
"The said letters that caused the problem are being written in Bulgaria, not in Brussels. The PM knows that these letters involve only opinions and suspicions, not proven violations," she told the public radio reporter.
