Bulgaria Sees Strong Growth in New Car Sales
The market for brand new passenger cars in Bulgaria saw notable growth in 2025, according to data from the Association of Automobile Manufacturers and their authorized representatives

Bulgarian capital Sofia’s subway CEO Stoyan Bratoev has stated he has “nothing to do” with the far-right partisan mouthpiece that was distributed as a “free newspaper.”
The distribution of “Paper for the Subway”, which turned out to be the mouthpiece of ultranationalist party Ataka (Attack), has been stopped.
“We have nothing to do with the distribution of political propaganda in the subway,” Bratoev told Nova TV on Thursday.
“Everything in this case is over, and all contracts have been ended. Such things cannot be distributed in the subway,” he said.
On Wednesday, citizens voiced their discontent over the free newspaper and demanded Bratoev’s resignation.
