Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov is among the top targets of Turkish giants Besiktas, for the January transfer window.

Recent bad results and the low goal-scoring form of the Istanbul team have prompted coach Slaven Bilic to look for a new forward in the winter. The desired options are Dimitar Berbatov or Emmanuel Adebayor, reports the daily Milliyet.

The Bulgarian joined London club Fulham in 2012 from Manchester United. After a strong first season, Berbatov has struggled to find his best form in the new campaign, and is often criticized by the English media.

Besiktas are currently 5th in the Turkish Superleague, 7 points behind leaders Fenerbahce.
