Bulgarian coach Ivaylo Petev is likely to take over at the helm of Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb, according to Croatian media reports.

On Tuesday, the Croatian champions fired coach Branko Ivankovic and put sporting director Zoran Mamic temporarily in charge.

The Vecernij List newspaper reports that Petev has been already spotted in the Croatian capital.

A story involving the young Bulgarian coach made headlines across the world earlier in October.

Petev was shockingly undressed and forced out of his first news conference in charge of Levski Sofia by hooligans who reckoned he was a supporter of archrivals CSKA – and therefore “unworthy” of wearing the team’s shirt.

Petev, who had led Ludogorets Razgrad to two surprising back-to-back titles in Bulgaria, left Levski just a day after the humiliating incident.
