A new right-wing project held its first meeting in Sofia's "Bulgaria Hall" on Sunday.

The union is called "Democratic Action – D2."

The founders say they are a community of free people, who do not see representation in the recently-founded right-leaning Reformist Block or in the formerly-ruling opposition center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, GERB.

The Chairman of the Movement, Stefan Ivanov, is quoted in saying it was humiliating for right-wing parties in Bulgaria to only "pray" to overcome the 4% threshold to win seats in the Parliament. He stresses the majority of right-wing voters do not even go to the polls because they do not recognize in anyone their cause or their true leader.

"D2" will strive to establish its new national goals and priorities, and to prove Bulgaria can have a responsible and sensible elite.
