The leader of extremist right-wing Greek party Golden DawnNikolaos Michaloliakos, has been detained by authorities in Greece.

Party spokesman Ilias Kasidiaris has also been arested, reports ITAR-TASS.

The Greek prosecution has also issued orders of arrest for other Golden Dawn MPs and functionaries.

The campaign comes in the wake of the mudrer of 34-year-old leftwing musician Pavlos Fissas, for which a Golden Dawn member is suspected.

At June 2012 general elections in Greece, the neo-Nazi party got 6.9% of the vote, gaining 18 seats in the 300-seat Hellenic Parliament.
