French car parts maker Montupet has increased production capacities in the north-eastern Bulgarian city of Ruse by 50%.
The plant recently opened a new hall measuring 10 000 m sq., thereby expanding its total area to 30 000 m sq., according to Michael Bryson, Managing Director of Montupet's Bulgarian subsidiary, as cited by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA).
The Ruse-based plant is to hire 300 new employees, thereby increasing its total headcount to 1000.
Bryson made clear that Montupet had already invested around EUR 3-4M in facilities in Ruse, adding that the total was expected to exceed EUR 100M with the equipment costs for the new production hall.
"Investors relying on high tech and human resources should accept the support of municipalities and the state. This is the reason why we are successful", Bryson said.
He also drew attention to the company's investments in staff trainings, adding that the share of French managers had dropped from 80% to less than 25% over the past 5 years.
