Bulgarian Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski has reiterated the Socialist-led government envisions no more budget revisions of the State budget for 2013.

Oresharski spoke Friday from the Black Sea city of Varna, where he met with local mayors, echoing a recent statement of his Deputy, Daniela Bobeva.

He stressed it was too early to discuss the parameters of Budget 2014, but voiced hope some portions of it could be upped such as State assistance for mothers of young children.

Regarding problems at the National Health Insurance Fund, NZOK, Oresharski pointed out that some deficit could emerge in the last month of the year of about BGN 100 M, which could be lowered by a more effective distribution of funds.

Bulgaria's Parliament overturned earlier in August the presidential veto on the budget revision after securing the votes of 130 MPs.

Members of parliament from the ruling Socialist and ethnic Turkish parties, together with the ultranationalists, united to overturn the veto.

Adopted at the end of last month by the Socialist-led government, the amendments pave the way for a spending deficit of 2% of GDP as opposed to 1.4%, which was to be financed by external debt – a loan of BGN 1 B.
