Ukrainian Woman Detained in Sunny Beach After Attempted Bribery of Police Officers
Bulgarian authorities found themselves grappling with a peculiar case involving a 60-year-old Ukrainian woman
A 80-year-old man from the southeastern Bulgarian city of Kardzhali has stabbed two police officers in a brawl.
The two officers have been only lightly injured, with one sustaining a surface knife wound in the chest, while the other - in the arm.
The incident happened Wednesday afternoon after police were alerted that the man is enraged and is threatening to kill a relative with a knife.
Upon arrivng at the scene in the private residence, the police officers managed to disarm the man, upon which he grabbed a second knife and wounded them.
The two officers eventually managed to detain the senior, who was the arrested for 24 hours with initial proceedings already started.
