The life of a 12-year-old Russian boy, who was seriously injured in an accident on a Bulgarian Black Sea beach last Wednesday, is now out of danger, doctors from the local hospital said.

Oleg Nikolaevich, who has been in a coma after being sunk in a 4-meter-deep air hole in the sand on the beach of Bulgarian town of Primorsko, is now conscious showing no signs for neurological problems or brain damage, stated doctor Anton Grogorov, the head of the reanimation department in the hospital where the boy had been accommodated.

For the child still stands the risk for suffering pneumonea due to  respiratory injuries and developing psycho-emotional traumas due to the experienced stress, reported from the medical institution.

Bulgarian doctors in cooperation with the Russian Consulate in the Bulgarian coastal city of Burgas, where the kid has been hospitalized, are searching for a psychologist to help the kid.

The kid's parents have come to Bulgaria from Russia and visit him everyday.

The tragic accident occurred when as a part of a game on Wednesday morning Oleg Nikolaevich's friends, all of them having their holidays on a child camp in the International Youth Center of Primorsko, decided to bury him in the sand, just for fun.

His body however happened to be above a 4-meter-deep air hole in the sand, which sunk him in.

The boy was rushed to the local hospital, but was unconscious, while the injuries that he suffered were life-threatening.
