The Members of the Bulgarian Parliament became Friday subjects to a second "joke" attack with short text messages, SMS, coming from "Peevski" and signed by "Delyan."

Exactly one week ago, at the exact same time of the day, the MPs from the Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, the predominantly ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, and from the nationalist Ataka, received SMS' signed by the Speaker of the Parliament, Mihail Mikov.

Last week most MPs laughed at the joke, but this Friday they were more contained and commented that the SMS' were complete non-sense.

"Colleagues, how much catharsis do I need in order for you to take me back?," Colleagues, I am watching TV, I advise you to disperse somewhat so that you appear to be in larger numbers as the people rallying in support of the government," "Colleagues, Volen is running late for our meeting. Put him in a straitjacket and send him to me fast," "Colleagues, the joint statement of the ambassadors of North Korea and Belarus is in. I am going to publish it tomorrow in Telegraph daily, on page 3, right next to naked lady," "Colleagues, do you think I should attend the protest in support of the government to add some volume?" and "Friends from the media, enjoy your work and don't let anyone scare you. Yours truly, Delyan" are some of the said SMS'.

Friday is the 29th day of protests in Bulgaria.

The series of anti-government protests in Bulgaria was triggered by the scandalous appointment of controversial media mogul Delyan Peevski as Chair of the State Agency for National Security (DANS).

Although the appointment was revoked, the people went on to demand that the Socialist-endorsed cabinet of Prime Minister, Plamen Oresharski, resign collectively over ties with oligarchs.

Protesters are also calling for Election Code amendments which will guarantee greater representation of the people in Parliament.

A much smaller rally in support of Oresharski is held every evening as well in the park of the National Palace of Culture.

Last week's SMS', signed by Mikov, informed that "the Parliament WC will be closed for the day and MPs are asked to use the portable ones near the cathedral," and that "the lunch menu consists only of tomatoes, but the MPs must come outside the building for 5 minutes to receive them."

Others read the following:

"Colleagues, we have reached the 100% limit of people's approval. In order to move forward we can only resign," "Attention, there is a breach of communications security in the Parliament. In order to protect your cell phone, lift it above your head for 30 seconds," "Colleagues, Delyan just informed me he was coming to the Parliament. Please, free two seats for him on the front row," "Colleagues, Volen's medical conclusion is ready, we have a problem," "Boyko said he was going to water his potatoes, break the blockade in front of his house, and come here. Should we vote on our resignation now or during an emergency sitting next Monday?", "I have had enough, Maya and I are leaving," and "Ladies and gentlemen from the media, we wish to the MPs a resignation, and to you an enjoyable workday. Expect more from us."

The pranksters have most likely used a computer program for sending messages to smart phones connected to the internet, IT experts say.
