UKRAINE: WHO Seeks 42 Million Dollars in 2026 to Protect Health Care as War Enters Its Fifth Year
WHO launched its Humanitarian Appeal for Ukraine 2026, requesting USD 42 million to protect access to health care for 700,000 people.

Only one Bulgarian citizen has died in the head-on collision between two buses in the Ukraine, according to the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry's press office.
The victim is one of the drivers of the bus with Bulgarian license plates, which was involved in a crash with a Ukrainian bus serving a regular route between two towns in the area. The collision happened around 7:40 am Thursday near the town of Kovel, Volinska region.
The second Bulgarian driver is hospitalized. The driver of the Ukrainian bus has died as well, according to the latest update.
The Ukrainian authorities announced earlier that both Bulgarian drivers have been killed in the crash.
The total number of fatalities is eight and they have all been passengers on the Bulgarian bus, which is owned by the Haskovo-based transport company Magi Tour. At least one of the victims is a child as the bus was transporting 50 people from Belarus to a camp in the Bulgarian summer resort "Sunny Beach."
According to the most recent information, they included 40 children 16-years of age and under, 8 adults, and 2 drivers.
The number of the injured is 27.
The Bulgarian Embassy in Kiev is in constant touch with the Ukrainian authorities and is providing assistance. The Bulgarian Ambassador there is travelling to scene of the accident.
A team from Magi Tour has also left for the Ukraine.
The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry expresses deep condolences to families and friends of the victims.
