A total of 36 Bulgarian citizens and their family members were successfully evacuated today from the territory of the Gaza Strip and are now safe in Egypt
Egypt's army has released a statement Wednesday evening that it will imminently disclose a 'road map' for the future development of the country, further giving grounds to reports that a takeover might be taking place.
In the meantime, reports are flooding in that embattled President Mohammed Morsi has been ousted from power.
It is not yet certain whether he has been detained under house arrest, or whether he was only banned from leaving the country.
The army had issued an ultimatum that the intensifying political crisis in the country must be resolved by Wednesday.
Mohammed Morsi remained defiant, saying he is the democratically elected president of Egypt.
Millions have taken to the streets of major Egyptian cities in what some called the largest rallies in human history, to protest what they see as a wrong pro-Islamist direction that Morsi is taking Egypt.
The road map drafted by the army is to be unveiled around 10.30 pm local time Wednesday.
According to a state TV station, the plan is to include new elections.
The station also added that the army has consulted with opposition leader Mohammed El Baradei, as well as with diverse religious leaders, regarding the road map.
Expect details.
