Bulgaria's Prime Minister Nominee, Plamen Oresharski, has pledged structural changes in the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism.

The tourist sector is to be removed from the Ministry and will have its own Agency as it was during the term of the Three-Way Coalition Cabinet (2005 – 2009) where Oresharski served as Finance Minister.

There were also ideas to separate the Economy and the Energy in two Ministries, but the PM hopeful says time was pressuring him and instead of making, albeit needed, structural changes, the institutions must start functioning ASAP.

He already told President Rosen Plevneliev that in some sectors, implying the energy one, reshuffles would not be productive.

The plan for the energy sector includes reforms in order to avoid a new hike of electric power prices.
