The armed man who burst early Saturday in the home of the leader of the right-wing Democrats for Strong Bulgaria party, DSB, and former Prime Minister, Ivan Kostov, has been a robber.

The information was reported by Darik radio, citing the Interior Ministry.

Earlier Saturday, several media reported the attack and so did Kostov himself on his Facebook page.

The assailant has been detained. No one, including Kostov's family members, has been harmed.

Kostov' home is located in the Sofia suburb of Dragalevtsi.

Bulgaria is holding Sunday, May 12, early general elections.
