Iran Ready to Train Syria's Army
Iran is ready to help training Syria's army, if Damascus seeks Iran's help, stated a senior Iranian military official.
"As a Muslim nation, we support Syria and if it needs training for its soldiers, we will provide assistance," said Gen Ahmad Rez Pourdastan, commander of Iran's land armed forces.
Pourdastan however stressed that his country will not take part in operations of the Syrian army in the ongoing civil war, report world agencies.
According to the Iranian general, the Syrian army has enough experience and potential to fulfil its tasks on its own.
