Code yellow has been declared for seven regions in eastern and southern Bulgaria Tuesday over the forecast for gusty winds.

The forecast has been issued by the Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, BAS.

Code yellow is effective for the regions of Yambol, Sliven, Burgas, Varna, Dobrich, Kardzhali and Haskovo.

Code yellow means potentially dangerous weather, where the forecast is not for unusual meteorological events, but requires people to exercise caution.

The weather will remain cooler than typical for this time of the year with temperatures during the day reaching up to 11C – 16C. Warmer weather and fewer clouds are expected Wednesday.

Ship traffic at the port of the Black Sea city of Varna is restricted over the gusts with empty vessels not allowed in it.
