Central Heating to Be Turned Off in Bulgarian Capital

Society | April 15, 2013, Monday // 17:28

With warmer spring weather having set in, central heating in Bulgarian capital Sofia will be switched off starting Tuesday, announced the city's heating utility.

Toplofikatsiya Sofia said that in spite of the current cooler spell, average day temperatures for three consecutive days have been over 12 degrees Centigrade, which mandates the turning off.

The company also adds that warmer weather is expected to return to Sofia starting Wednsday and then linger.

Toplofikatsiya Sofia recalls that users who wish to do so can have central heating extended by filing a request from the residents of their building.
