Bulgaria: Dogan Attacker's Matrix

In the country, where as a rule there is either too much or too little talk, many questions remain unanswered.

Is Oktay Enimehmedov, the man who shocked Bulgaria by pointing a gas pistol at former ethnic Turkish party leader Ahmed Dogan, a lunatic or a liar? Is he downright crazy or this is just a role he has embraced?

Who is pulling the strings of this mysterious attacker? How come an equally mysterious committee is trying to pave his way into Bulgaria's parliament?

Why does he cite the national hero Levski in his letters from jail? Does he believe he is the new "liberator"? If yes, who will he liberate and from what?

Are we witnessing a well prepared set-up, starring Oktay, or somebody is interested to see tensions among the ethnic groups in Bulgaria?

Questions whose answers remain unknown.

What we know is that Oktay, unwittingly, turned into a puppet on strings. A self-styled hero who is "lost in translation", but actually lives in his own "matrix." Just like all of us ...

As for the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms, this is undeniably the party that preserved the ethnic peace in Bulgaria during the years of transition to democracy.
