Bulgaria's former ruling party, center-right GERB, has officially revealed the party's list leaders for upcoming May 12 early elections, featuring many former cabinet ministers and top MPs.

GERB president and former Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov leads GERB's lists in parts of Bulgaria's largest cities - the 25th electoral district in capital Sofia and the 16th district in Plovdiv.

GERB vice-chair, campaign chief, and ex Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov tops the lists in Blagoevgrad and Veliko Tarnovo.

Former Parliament Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva will lead GERB once more in Pleven.

Front-bench GERB MPs Iskra Fidosova and Desislava Taneva are leading the lists in Montana and Sliven, respectively.

The other ministers from the Borisov cabinet to be included in leading positions are ex Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova (Varna), EU Funds Minister Tomislav Donchev (Gabrovo), Economy Minister Delyan Dobrev (Pernik), Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski (Sofia) and Social Affairs Minister Totyu Mladenov (Vratsa).

A number of former vice-ministers from the Borisov cabinet, such as ex Deputy FinMin Vladislav Goranov, are also to be seen on the leading positions of lists.

Borisov filed the resignation of his cabinet on February 20, following a string of protests against social and economic stagnation in Bulgaria.

But the GERB party has many times since announced its ambition to come victorious at the early election and reinstate Borisov as Bulgaria's PM.

The latest opinion polls revealed this week show that GERB might come out first, with 22-25% support, some 4 percentage points ahead of main rival, the Bulgarian Socialist Party.
