Rallies against stagnation in Bulgaira and for a change of political climate have started gathering in capital Sofia, as well as major cities of Varna and Plovdiv Sunday.

Protesters have assembled in front of the Ministry of Economy and Energy in Sofia, and have blocked the nearby street intersection.

Some 1,500 citizens have asssembled in front of the town hall in Varna, writes the Focus Information Agency.

Expect details about Sunday's protests in Bulgaria.

The rallies are part of a floodwave of rallies against poverty, unemployment and corruption, fuelled by high electricity bills.

The protests led to the resignation of the cabinet of Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov on February 20, with early elections to be called in May.
