UNICEF and WHO Highlight Bulgaria’s Progress While Europe Faces Vaccine Hesitancy Crisis
UNICEF and WHO reports reveal that despite widespread vaccine hesitancy threatening child health across Europe and Central Asia
An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 points on the Richter scale has been registered in southern Bulgaria Friday evening.
According to the European Seismology Center, the quake had an epicenter with a depth of 2 km, near the villages of Mednikarovo and Dryanovo. The epicenter is located 53 km southwest of the city of Stara Zagora, 233 km east from the capital Sofia and 13 km northeast of the town of Harmanli.
The tremor was registered at 8:05 pm. It was also reported by the Geophysics Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, BAS, as a 2.3 earthquake with a 3.3-km-deep epicenter.
There are no reports of casualties or damage.
