Two Finish boys have been rescued in Bulgaria's Pirin mountain late Thursday evening.
A call has been placed on the emergency 112 hotline, alerting that two boys from Finland, ages 13 and 17, got lost in the woods while snowboarding.
A mountain rescue team has been called immediately. It has emerged that the teens got lost after taking one of the many forks of ski track number 10.
The rescue team found them at 11:30 pm, in good condition because of their excellent equipment, carrying the snowboards in their arms.
The rescuers say the boys were scared after spending four hours in the dark, but had not panicked. They were taken to the headquarters of the Mountain Rescue Services in the town of Bansko, from where the parents have picked them up and taken them to the hotel.
The worried families have thanked the rescue team for the help and the excellent work.
In some parts of Pirin, the snow cover is reaching over half meter now. There is also a threat of possible avalanches, which is the strongest on the Todorka peak.
