Failed Constitutional Court nominee Galya Gugusheva, who faces accusations of conflict of interest and money laundering, has said there is nothing worrying about her life.
Gugusheva was approached for comments prior to her the hearing before the Ethics Committee at the Supreme Judicial Council (VSS).
The former nominee for Constitutional Judge arrived at the VSS building accompanied by her son Stefan Gugushev.
Gugusheva, who is Deputy Chair of the Specialized Appellate Prosecutor's Office, said she would comment on the matter after the conclusion of the inspection of VSS.
Apart from the VSS Ethics Committee, inspections against Gugusheva are also underway at the National Revenue Agency (NRA) and the Inspectorate at the Supreme Prosecutor's Office of Cassation.
On Tuesday afternoon, Gugusheva, who was nominated for Constitutional Judge from the parliamentary quota by the right-wing Union of Democratic Forces (UDF) party, officially withdrew her bid after the parliamentary group of center-right ruling party GERB declared that it would not back her.
Later on Tuesday it emerged that interim Chief Prosecutor Boyko Naydenov had ordered a full inspection of Gugusheva.
On Tuesday evening, Borislav Sarafov, head of the Specialized Appellate Prosecutor's Office, submitted a proposal with VSS for the dismissal of Gugusheva as Deputy Chair of the unit and her reappointment as regular prosecutor.
