Bulgaria's unemployment rate in November 2012 was 11.3%, up by 0.3 percentage points compared with October, according to latest data of the State Employment Agency.

A total of 372 122 persons were officially registered as unemployed in Bulgaria in November, the Agency said, 10 224 more than the previous month, and 13 152 more than in November 2011.

A higher number of people have been laid off by Bulgaria's industry and agriculture, while the layoffs in the service sector have declined.

A total of 17 550 persons registered as unemployed found jobs in November, up by almost 3 000 compared with October 2012. Of those, 5 340 have been employed under EU Operational Program "Human Resource Development", which Bulgaria's government measure created 964 jobs.
