Bulgaria: Don Vito and Don Boyko

Bulgaria has become a favorite shooting location for Hollywood producers lately. As much as Bulgarians would like to think otherwise, the main reason for this is budget cuts.

Earlier this week, Bulgaria welcomed "Pulp Fiction" star John Travolta and the legendary Robert De Niro, who received his first Academy Award back in 1974 for his role in as the young Don Vito Corleone in The Godfather Part II.

Despite the short visit, the movie stars found time to join Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov and Culture Minister Vezhdi Rashidov for a so-called "working dinner", where they sampled traditional Bulgarian "shopska" salad and tasted some Bulgarian wine. An offer you can't refuse!

Virtually nothing can stop the cabinet chief from arranging himself a date with celebrities, who most ordinary fans are unable to even catch a glimpse of.

The same fans that waited to get De Niro's autograph at the Sofia Airport Tuesday, but went home disappointed.

Borisov, however, was able to take a picture with the legend, and both of them are smiling widely.

Whether or not Borisov's smile fades as quickly as a Sicilian gangster flees the crime scene, we'll find out on Election Day next year. At the latest.
