Bulgaria: Skype Warns of New Evil Virus Lurking

Skype has warned its users to be on the alert from a new dangerous malware that its being distributed on its network.

Users are recommended not to click on text reading "lol is this your profile pic?" sent to them in what appear to be legitimate messages from other users.

Antivirus company Sophos has said that the virus is probably a variety of Dorkbot recently distributed via Facebook and Twitter.

The click fraud makes a zip file download on the unwary user's computer, which then generates a vicious ransomware.

The program restricts the user's access to her computer, giving control over it to a remote hacker.

"We are aware of the problem and are working for its elimination," stated Skype.

0,5 B people are estimated to be using Skype. The malware is presently available in English and German and is spreading fast.
