"They asked me to buy the club and rescue it from extinction. I said ok. After all this was not the first time that I was buying something totally useless."
Vesselin Mareshki, a controversial businessman, founder and owner of a large low-cost drug store chain, comments his decision to take-over financially troubled Lokomotiv Plovdiv football club in an interview for bTV channel. Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, an avid football fan, personally talked Mareshki into the purchase.
"I sent the ministers to him, but they can't stand next to a person who has already become a party leader.
"The only path to peace is clear: Ukraine's sovereignty must be respected and its territorial integrity fully restored.
"I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him.
Regarding Bulgaria's eurozone accession: "We do not meet the criteria for the Eurozone, the protest will continue.
