A group of four German young people have become the victims of a brutal attack in Bulgaria's capital Sofia, attributed to political differences.

The information was reported by the Civic Initiative HoRa (People against Racism, the abbreviation also means people in Bulgarian).

In a letter to the media they alarm that 2 young German women and 2 young German men have been attacked after a concert in downtown Sofia by a group of skinheads, reportedly because the Germans had been wearing stripes, reading "anti-fascism."

The Bulgarian "Nazi fans" have been breaking bottles, shouting and then have attacked the Germans. The men were pushed to the ground and kicked while the girls were slapped on the face and suffered split lips.

Eyewitnesses have called the 112 emergency hotline, but when the police and the ambulance arrived, the assailants had been gone.
