Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, promised Sunday to people in northern Bulgaria they will soon have everything the government has done in the southern part of the country.

The promise included roads and highways to be finished in the presumed second term in office of the ruling Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party, GERB. Borisov announced some of the projects such as enlargement of the road connecting the cities of Ruse on the Danube River and of Shumen in northeastern Bulgaria, and repairs of the section between Varna and Belokopitovo on the main Sofia-Varna road.

Together with Regional Minister, Lilyana Pavlova, he opened Sunday a repaired road segment connecting the Dobrich Region with the Romanian border.

The segment passes through the village of Rositsa and is part of road III – 2903 General Toshevo – Rositsa – Romanian border. It is 3.6-km-long. Pavlova stressed that it had not been repaired in 32 years, while current works have taken just 10 days. The value of the project is BGN 1.3 M and it had been financed through the State budget.

"People can choose between GERB and the previous Cabinet of the Three Way Coalition. We offer roads, highways, purification stations, railroads, sports facilities, and they can all be seen, all are reality. We also offer financial stability. It is up to the people to make their own choice. My sociology works," Borisov told those gathered for the ceremony.

Bulgaria will hold parliamentary elections in the summer of 2013.
