The numerous rumors surrounding the future of Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov are finally to be put to an end, as he has arrived in Italy's Florence to sign a contract with Fiorentina.

The Bulgarian striker has agreed personal terms with the Serie A club ahead of a move reportedly worth EUR 5 M.

As it was reported earlier on Wednesday, Berbatov is to undergo a physical fitness and then sign a two-year contract with an option for a further year.

A number of European teams, including Zenit St Petersburg, Galatasaray, Paris Saint-Germain and Fulham were believed to be interested in snapping up the Bulgarian player, who was clearly unwanted at Old Trafford.

Bulgaria's most successful player over the recent years, Dimitar Berbatov, shared the Premier League Golden Boot award with his former Manchester United teammate Carlos Tevez in the Premier League's 2010-11 season, as he netted a total of 20 goals.

He had just 12 Premier League appearances in the 2011-12 season, still managing to score 7 goals.
