Emil Danchev, the agent of Manchester United's Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov, has refused to confirm or disprove the reports about Berbatov's transfer to the Italian club Fiorentina.
According to reports of Italian sports media, both United and Berbatov have accepted Fiorentina's offer to purchase the Bulgarian international for EUR 5 M (GBP 3.9 M), with the transfer currently being finalized.
"Berbatov's future will be clear in a few days. I am trying not to pay much attention to the press reports," Danchev told Italian site ilsussidiario.net on Tuesday.
"You are asking me whether Inter or Fiorentina want Dimitar? You should ask them directly," the agent added, thus refusing to provide any conclusive information about Berbatov's future just days before the end of the transfer period on Friday.
If he is transfered to the Italian club, Berba will be the second Bulgarian to play there after Valeri Bojinov, 2005-7.
