Kiril Dimitrov, interim head of Bulgarian Embassy in Oslo, has informed that only one Bulgarian national has suffered light injuries in the traffic accident near the town of Moss.

Norwegian daily Aftenposten reported Friday that a serious crash with a van with a Bulgarian registration plate had left seven injured, all of them Bulgarians.

The crash had been reported to the police at around 5.20 am, Aftenposten stated.

The newspaper's website, as cited by Bulgarian TV station Btv, said that two of the injured were in critical condition.

Aftenposten informed that one of the injured had been taken to the Ullevaal Hospital by helicopter and one had been taken to the hospital in Fredrikstad by ambulance.

The newspaper said that the VW Transporter had hit concrete blocks placed on the road to mark construction works near a toll booth.

In a Saturday interview for Bulgarian Darik radio, Dimitrov specified that the van had carried Romanian nationals, two of whom had suffered serious injuries.

The interim head of Bulgaria's Embassy in Oslo explained that two cars with Bulgarian registration plates had been traveling behind the VW Transporter and only one Bulgarian citizen had suffered light injuries.

He added that he had contacted the Ullevaal Hospital and had been told that the two people who had been worst hit were Romanians, a man and a woman.

Dimitrov stated that the five other injured Romanians had been taken to the hospital in Fredrikstad.

Although the van was initially reported to have a Bulgarian registration plate, there have been no official reports on the matter.
