Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda has published an article drawing attention to a spate of incidents involving Russian tourists in Bulgarian resorts.

In its Saturday edition, the newspaper mentions an incident in which Russian actress Elena Kondulainen arrived in the Black Sea resort of Albena to participate in the International children's film festival "Scarlet Sails" and broke her hand.

The newspaper also reminds about a quarrel between a Russian husband and wife in the resort of Sveti Vlas which ended with the woman killing the man with a knife.

Komsomolskaya Pravda also mentions a woman from Saint Petersburg spending the holidays in Bulgaria with her two children who suffered a massive stroke and fell into a coma.

The Russian newspaper concludes the list of accidents with the Russian tourists who were hit by the bankruptcy of Bulgarian tour operator Bulgarian VIP Tours (BVT).

According to the Russian daily, after the Bulgarian company came up with a statement that it was stopping business operations, some Russian tourists got blackmailed by hotel owners asking them to pay for their stay again.

The newspaper cites Ivo Marinov, Bulgaria's Deputy Minister of Tourism, as saying that the Russian clients of the bankrupt company will be services by other tour operators.

Marinov, as cited by Komsomolskaya Pravda, assures that all tourists who have already arrived in Bulgaria or are about to enter or leave the country will spend their holidays normally.

The newspaper informs that BVT's bankruptcy affects close to 1000 tourists, including citizens of Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan and Romania.
