Plovdiv Offers Free Public Transport on December 31 and January 1
Public transport in Plovdiv will be free during the final hours of 2025 and throughout January 1, 2026, as part of a New Year initiative approved by the Municipal Council.

Bulgaria's Cabinet has started a procedure to grant a construction concession at the Central Railway Station in the southern city of Plovdiv.
The concession period is 35 years, and the concessionaire will be expected construct a bus station, escalators, and a building for various services and venues.
The minimum required investment for the first four years of the concession is BGN 9.4 M without VAT, and for the entire 35-year period – BGN 10.2 M without VAT.
The construction concession at the Plovdiv Railway Station is supposed to boost the city's public transport, the Council of Ministers hopes.
