A commission from the international forces in Afghanistan, ISAF, will be evaluating and certifying a new Bulgarian company to be stationed at the Kandahar Air Base.

The 13th Bulgarian security company to be deployed at Kandahar Airport will be evaluated between August 20 and August 22 at the Tyulbeto training ground in Bulgaria, the Defense Ministry said.

The 13th Bulgarian company for guarding the internal security zone of Kandahar Airport is under the command of Maj. Petko Tsanev.

Bulgaria's some 600 troops in Afghanistan are stationed at the airports in Kabul and Kandahar as part of NATO and ISAF forces, and are planned to be withdrawn in 2014.
