Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev has made an official address to the country's Muslim community celebrating the major Muslim religious holiday Eid ul-Fitr.
"Let goodness and forgiveness lead our deeds, so that we can together build in peace and harmony our common home," said Plevneliev.
Eid ul-Fitr marks the end of the Muslim Holy Month of Ramadan, and is known in Bulgaria, following Turkish tradition, as Ramazan Bayram.
"At the end of this holy month we are recalling that holidays are times of joy and light during which we unite in search for spiritual unity and understanding," stated the Bulgarian President.
"I trust that all Bulgarian Muslims will greet Eid with dignity and optimism and open their hearts to their fellows in the name of hope," added he.
The Bulgarian President further wished health, peace and prosperity for all those celebrating Ramazan Bayram.
