Bulgaria's top female sprinter Ivet Lalova has failed to make a breakthrough in the 200 m sprint in the London Olympics.
Even though she did break her own record, Ivet Lalova did not manage to qualify for the 200 m sprint final late Tuesday night.
She ran the 200 m meters in 22.98 seconds, her personal best, but finished sixth in the first series. She was well behind the first, Veronica Campbell-Brown with 22.32 seconds, and Carmelita Jeter with 22.39 seconds.
Lalova, who won the 2012 European Championship in the 100 m sprint and is known as the fastest white woman, also failed to reach the final in her favorite discipline, the 100 sprint, at the London Olympics.
