The Wildlife Rescue Center operated by the Zeleni Balkani ("Green Balkans") NGO has welcomed its 1000th patient.

The Wildfire Rescue Center is located near the southern Bulgarian city of Stara Zagora, and has been treating wild animals of various species.

Its 1000th patient has turned out to be a young hare that the wildlife experts named Strahil. It is reported to be feeling well with the care of the specialists, the BGNES agency reported.
