The President of the Atlantic Club in Bulgaria, Dr. Solomon Passy, has arrived on a week-long working visit in Israel, the NGO announced.

Passy, who is a former Bulgarian Foreign Minister (in 2001-2005) presiding over the country's NATO accession and completion of its EU accession talks, and Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in 2004, will dedicate his working visit to efforts to promote military-industrial cooperation between Bulgaria and Israel, he said.

"I believe it is high time that Bulgaria become prioritized as an investment destination for the Israeli ICT sector," Dr. Passy stated before leaving for Israel.

The Atlantic Club in Bulgaria, a NGO, has pointed out in its statement that after Bulgaria's accession to NATO in 2004, which had been its primary priority prior to that, it has become a major proponent of boosting the military-economic relations between Bulgaria and Israel.
