Bulgaria's unit for combating organized crime GDBOP has busted a six-member gang dealing drugs along the country's Black Sea coast, the Interior Ministry announced Friday.

The gang in question was active in Bulgaria's largest summer resort Sunny Beach, as well as in Varna, Burgas, Nessebar, and Sozopol.

One of the detainees is the well-known Sofia mobster Viktor Batsev aka Dzhukata ("the Lip"), who is believed to be the boss of the drug dealers.

The gang had been investigated for four months before the crackdown, with police seizing 1.1 kg of amphetamines, 50 g of heroin, 60 g of metaamphetamine, and 60 g of marijuana.

The other detainees include a 45-year-old who was Viktor Batsev's right hand as well as two men aged 27 and 30 from the city of Burgas.
