A new earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 points on the Richter scale has been registered in western Bulgaria, in the area of the city of Pernik, Monday evening.

The quake has been registered by the European Seismology Center.

The tremor happened at 9:03 pm and had an epicenter of a depth of 10 km. The epicenter is located 25 km southwest of the capital Sofia, 4 km southeast of Pernik.

There are no reports of casualties or damage.

Locals are till terrified by the 5.8 tremor that rattled the Pernik region on May 22.
