The driver of a bank car transporting cash in Bulgarian city of Plovdiv has gone missing, with his load also absent from the vehicle.

Police in Plovdiv were alerted about an abandoned cash transporter, and upon arriving they also found that the vehicle was empty.

According to data given by the bank, the car should have been stocked with the equivalent of BGN 1.5 M in various currencies.

Police suspect that the driver, a 33-year-old male, might have just stolen the load.
