Manchester United's Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov is "90% sure" to join Spanish team Malaga, according to his agent, Emil Danchev.

The transfer may be completed this week, Danchev has told Spanish media, according to the BGNES news agency.

The ambitious Spanish club is desperate to find a reliable forward, as Ruud van Nistelrooy recently announced his retirement from footbal.

Malaga's Qatari owners are expected to be able to offer a lucrative salary to the Bulgarian striker.

Malaga finished 4th in La Liga and will compete in the Champions League qualifiers for the first time in its history.

PSG and Galatasaray have been among the clubs recently linked with the prolific forward who will almost certainly leave Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.
