Conservative party New Democracy and far-left coalition SYRIZA each have about 30% of the votes in Greece's crucial general elections Sunday, according to the first exit polls.
First exit poll results suggest the outcome is too close to call, international media report citing local polling agencies.
According to the exit poll results via Mega TV, pro-bailout New Democracy has received between 27.5 and 30.5% of the votes, with the anti-bailout SYRIZA scoring about the same percentage - 27-30%.
The Greek Socialist Party PASOK is third with about 10-12%, followed by Independent Greeks - 6-7.5%, the far-right Golden Dawn - 6-7.5%, Democratic Left - 5.5-6.5%, Communists - 5-6%.
On the basis of the exit poll results, both New Democracy and Syriza have increased their share of the vote by as much as 10 percentage points. Support for Pasok has dropped further and the Communists appear also to have taken a knock.
New Democracy is being given a lead of 0.5% but this is still only an exit poll, the BBC reported.
Golden Dawn, the far-right party which stunned many with its strong showing on 6 May, has kept its share of the vote, exit polls suggest.
